Find your starting point

A surface that changes with light.

01

Feature walls

Plan panel divisions and vein direction before developing the lighting layout. Compare the material both illuminated and unlit.

02

Reception counters

Coordinate the panel face, edge returns, base protection and access for servicing the lighting.

03

Decorative screens

Review thickness, framing, impact needs and structural support. A decorative panel is not automatically a safety barrier.

04

Accent details

Explore smaller illuminated insets or furniture accents where light can add depth without dominating the room.

Dimensions are nominal source values, where stated. Confirm the exact material, current sample or slab, finish, thickness, fabrication, technical data, destination eligibility, price and availability in the quotation. Catalogue settings do not establish KUCI completed-project work.

A practical selection checklist

The details make the difference.

Material identity
Confirm whether the panel is natural stone, resin-based, glass-based or another composite. Translucent appearance does not establish composition.
Lighting mock-up
Review an assembled sample with the proposed light source, colour temperature, diffusion and cavity depth.
Panel schedule
Record dimensions, thickness, fixing method, joints, edge treatment and pattern orientation.
Heat & access
Coordinate ventilation, driver location and removable access with the lighting designer and installer.
Application evidence
Request relevant fire and electrical documentation for the proposed assembly and destination where required.

Images show designs. Confirm the specific product, samples, options and availability before ordering.

Useful answers

Before you choose your stone.

Practical answers for a confident specification.

Are all translucent panels natural onyx?

No. This category also includes manufactured decorative materials. Confirm composition and product identity before comparing prices or specifications.

Are lights included with the panels?

Confirm the quotation scope. Panels, frames, LED modules, drivers, controls and installation may be separate items.

How do I avoid visible bright spots?

Arrange a lighting mock-up with the actual panel, diffusion and cavity depth. Review the assembly at its intended viewing distance before repeating it.

Can these panels be used outside?

Only when the exact product and assembly are documented for the intended exposure. Verify UV, moisture, temperature and fixing requirements.

Details to confirm

Once you have a selection in mind, we’ll confirm the specifications, checks and delivery details with you.

Specifications & ordering details
Plans & dimensions
Share DWG/CAD floor plans, PDF architectural sets or an Excel BOQ schedule for translucent stone panels. Dimensioned cutting drawings, slab references, edge profiles, joints and sink or service cutouts. Confirm the secure transfer route for files not accepted by the enquiry form.
Product requirements
Confirm stone type, actual slab thickness, finish, reinforcement and intended use. Request relevant material tests for the selected stone; photographs do not establish structural suitability.
Checks before delivery
Agree dry-lay veining checks, slab numbering, repair disclosure and cutting-layout approval before fabrication. Agree photo/video inspection reports and their timing before balance payment in the order terms.
Packing & shipping
Specify restrained, edge-protected stone in suitable plywood crates and confirm lifting and unloading arrangements. Where plywood crates are specified, confirm the packaging construction and destination requirements before describing them as fumigation-free. Discuss 20GP/40HQ FCL or LCL consolidation from Foshan through an agreed South China departure port, such as Shenzhen/Yantian. Port, packing, shipment fit and charges are confirmed in the freight quotation.
