KUCI / How we support your project

Samples connect the design to the order.

Material selection is part of KUCI’s one-stop service. We help you compare a coordinated group of finishes and identify the exact product choices to carry into the quotation.

01

Shortlist

Share your room references and the tile, stone, cabinetry or other finishes you want to compare.

Working towardsA focused sample request.

02

Compare together

Review colour, texture and adjoining materials in the intended setting.

Working towardsA preferred material combination.

03

Record the selection

Keep product and sample references with the approved finish and the relevant room or item.

Working towardsA selection record for quotation review.

Confirm sample availability, size, cost and shipping before arrangements are made. A sample does not by itself confirm the full order specification.

Carry your selections into a quotation ↗

01 / A sample with a purpose

Ask for what you
need to evaluate.

A colour chip, a finished door corner and a larger surface sample answer different questions. Confirm which format is available for your selected material.

Colour & texture

Use a finish chip to compare colour, sheen and surface texture under daylight and the intended room lighting.

Ask for: exact code, finish name and sample size.

Edge & construction

Request a representative edge or door detail when substrate, edging, profile or the transition between materials matters.

Ask for: substrate, thickness and edge treatment.

Pattern & variation

For grain or patterned surfaces, discuss a larger reference or multiple pieces to understand variation and direction.

Ask for: pattern scale, orientation and range.

Choose the sample format for the colour, edge or pattern you need to evaluate.

02 / Review it as a material set

One reference.
One clear decision.

Compare the sample beside the planned worktop, floor and wall finishes. Record the physical sample you reviewed so the decision remains traceable.

03 / From shortlist to confirmation

Make every sample
easy to identify.

Agree sample format, availability, charges and shipping terms for each selected material.

  2. 02

    Confirm the offer

Agree available formats, costs, shipping, expected timing and any return or credit terms before dispatch.

  3. 03

    Review & record

Photograph the label, compare under the project lighting and record the decision against the exact specification.

A closer look / Prepare the details

A good sample answers a specific question.

Use these three checks when preparing a sample request. The right format depends on what you need to decide.

Oak finish reference showing grain direction
Finish reference: use a physical sample to review colour and texture.
  1. For a colour decision

Compare the sample beside your floor and worktop in daylight and under the intended room lighting. Record the sheen as well as the colour code.

  2. For a construction detail

Ask for the edge, reverse and substrate to be represented. A flat colour chip cannot show the door profile or the junction with another surface.

  3. For a patterned surface

Discuss a larger piece or several pieces to review grain direction and variation. Keep the reviewed sample reference with the order specification.
