Select raw marble and granite slabs by actual slab number, dimensions, thickness, surface finish and visible fissures. Request adjacent-slab photographs and a dry-lay layout for bookmatched veining. Natural variation and the available batch determine the match; use the architectural stone hub for countertops, vanity tops, stair treads and cut-to-size fabrication.
An expressive option for feature walls, vanity tops and furniture. Discuss acid sensitivity and the patina you are willing to accept, especially around food and drink.
02
Granite
A common starting point for busy kitchen countertops and other working surfaces. Compare the specific stone’s characteristics and finish rather than assuming every granite performs alike.
03
Slabs & wall panels
Plan the visible face, vein direction, panel divisions and joints. Bookmatching requires suitable sequential slabs and an approved layout.
04
Cut-to-size pieces
Coordinate countertop runs, upstands, thresholds and stair components using a numbered cutting schedule and confirmed site measurements.

Dimensions are nominal source values, where stated. Confirm the exact material, current sample or slab, finish, thickness, fabrication, technical data, destination eligibility, price and availability in the quotation. Catalogue settings do not establish KUCI completed-project work.
WATERJET INLAY & CUT-TO-SIZE
A pattern planned piece by piece.
Develop floor medallions, borders and inlay around the room dimensions. The drawings determine the cutting schedule and installation sequence.
For an inlay quotation, send the measured overall size, pattern reference and proposed material palette. Confirm piece thickness, joints, backing or assembly, edge transitions and a numbered packing plan. Approve a scaled layout and material samples before fabrication.
Confirm the stone identification, current slab photographs, usable slab dimensions and any resin treatment, mesh backing or repairs.
Thickness & support
Specify actual thickness, edge build-up, overhangs and support locations. Have the fabricator review cut-outs, spans and lifting constraints.
Surface finish
Compare polished and honed samples under your room lighting. Textured finishes must be confirmed for the selected stone and application.
Seams & vein direction
Approve the cutting layout before fabrication. Record where seams fall and how veins meet at corners, waterfall ends and adjacent panels.
Edges & openings
Provide dimensioned edge profiles, sink and hob templates, tap holes, drainer details and tolerances.
Care
Use a stone-appropriate cleaner. Ask whether the selected surface needs sealing; a sealer does not make marble acid-proof.

Useful answers
Before you choose your stone.
Practical answers for a confident specification.
Is granite better than marble for a kitchen?
Granite is often considered for demanding kitchen use, while marble is chosen for its character and develops a patina more readily. Compare the exact stone, finish and your tolerance for marks before deciding.
Can I choose the actual slabs?
Request current photographs and a slab layout for the proposed batch. Confirm the reservation and approval process in your quotation; catalogue photographs do not establish current stock.
Does every natural stone need annual sealing?
No single schedule suits all stone. The selected material, factory treatment, use and sealer instructions determine whether sealing is appropriate and how to maintain it.
Are the slab dimensions in a catalogue guaranteed?
No. Natural slabs vary, and nominal dimensions do not necessarily equal usable cutting area. Confirm the available slab and fabrication yield before placing an order.
Once you have a selection in mind, we’ll confirm the specifications, checks and delivery details with you.
Specifications & ordering details
Plans & dimensions
Share DWG/CAD floor plans, PDF architectural sets or an Excel BOQ schedule for bookmatched & raw stone slab selection. Dimensioned cutting drawings, slab references, edge profiles, joints and sink or service cutouts. Confirm the secure transfer route for files not accepted by the enquiry form.
Product requirements
Confirm stone type, actual slab thickness, finish, reinforcement and intended use. Request relevant material tests for the selected stone; photographs do not establish structural suitability.
Checks before delivery
Agree dry-lay veining checks, slab numbering, repair disclosure and cutting-layout approval before fabrication. Agree photo/video inspection reports and their timing before balance payment in the order terms.
Packing & shipping
Specify restrained, edge-protected stone in suitable plywood crates and confirm lifting and unloading arrangements. Where plywood crates are specified, confirm the packaging construction and destination requirements before describing them as fumigation-free. Discuss 20GP/40HQ FCL or LCL consolidation from Foshan through an agreed South China departure port, such as Shenzhen/Yantian. Port, packing, shipment fit and charges are confirmed in the freight quotation.

Selection scope
Marble & granite slabs
Material and slab selection
Identify natural marble, granite, quartz, solid surface or sintered stone by the actual selected range. Approve slab or batch photographs, nominal thickness, usable dimensions and finish.
Formats and fabrication
Request cut-to-size marble and granite vanity tops, countertops or treads. For sintered options, discuss 1200 × 2400 mm or 1600 × 3200 mm formats where available; confirm the selected range and usable size.
Cutting and edge details
Agree waterjet cutting, mitred edge fabrication, joints, sink/hob cut-outs and reinforcement for suitable materials. Fabrication follows approved drawings and tolerances.
Dry-lay and export protection
Agree dry-lay inspection photos and piece numbering before packing. Confirm A-frame wooden crates or the fabrication-specific packing method, lifting points and unloading equipment.
