Selection resources / BOQ & quotation

A clearer brief. A comparable quote.

Turn your drawings and material choices into line items that can be compared. Keep quantities, units, finish references and exclusions visible before reviewing the total.

KUCI / How we support your project

Turn the project brief into a defined supply scope.

Budget and quotation support connects the products you choose with the quantities and services you need. KUCI can discuss material options and different price levels against the same project brief.

01

Bring the brief together

Share drawings, the material list, room references and any budget priorities.

Working towardsA common starting point for the quotation.

02

Compare the options

Review product and finish alternatives alongside the included fittings and fabrication.

Working towardsOptions with their differences clearly identified.

03

Agree the scope

Separate product supply from any design, checks, logistics or other support to be included.

Working towardsAn itemised offer to review before ordering.

Quantities, measurements, prices and commercial terms require confirmation for the actual project. A planning brief is not a final order or delivery commitment.

01 / Build the line item

A description is
only the beginning.

Keep the quantity and its basis beside the proposed product. Leave unknown values blank and identify the person responsible for verification.

01

Identity

Item ID, room or opening, description, offered manufacturer/model and finish reference.

02

Quantity basis

Quantity and unit, dimensions with units, drawing revision and measured or provisional status.

03

Included scope

Supply, fabrication, accessories, packing and any agreed delivery or installation scope.

04

Review record

Open question, alternative, responsible party, decision and current revision.

02 / Break the assembly into parts

What does
“one set” include?

Define the cabinet, fittings, surface and delivery scope included in each assembly.

WALDEN catalogue cabinet and countertop junction detail
WALDEN · cabinetry and display storage
Kitchen cabinetry package

Identify carcases, fronts, end panels, fillers, handles and internal fittings. State whether worktops, cut-outs, installation drawings and site installation are included or excluded.

Bathroom vanity package

Separate the cabinet, top, basin, tap, waste, mirror and fixing hardware. Link the exact basin and plumbing interfaces to the proposed cabinet configuration.

Door or window assembly

List the frame, leaf or sash, glazing, hardware, seals and installation accessories. Link the exact configuration to the opening schedule and required documents.

Tile or surface supply

Record product code, finish, format, thickness, unit and verified quantity basis. Separate additional allowance, trims, fabrication, adhesives and installation where relevant.

03 / Compare the same scope

Resolve the difference
before comparing totals.

Ask each quotation to answer the same questions against the same item IDs. A blank field remains an open question, not an assumed inclusion.

Start with a
blank material schedule.

Download the blank workbook to organise materials, quantities and scope before requesting a quotation.

A closer look / Prepare the details

Make “one set” a defined scope.

A short product name can hide very different offers. Describe the assembly before comparing quantities or prices.

Cabinet finish and storage design reference
Cabinetry reference: list the fronts, fittings and adjoining surfaces separately where required.
  1. Cabinetry

Separate boxes, fronts, fillers, end panels, handles, hinges and storage inserts. State whether the worktop, cut-outs and installation are included.

  2. Bathroom assemblies

List the cabinet, basin, tap, waste and mirror as identifiable items. Record mounting requirements and the installer’s dimensional checks.

  3. Openings and surfaces

Use an opening or slab ID. Record dimensions, handing, finish, glazing or edge details, and the drawing revision used for the quantity basis.

Discuss the documents behind each specification ↗

Keep the open items visible

A clearer schedule.
A more useful quotation.

Send your destination, current drawing revision, item list and scope questions. Mark provisional quantities and identify the person who will verify them.
